The Edward Curtis Project | Theatre Performance | The Producer/Director

Brenda’s involvement in theatre over the last 30 years has been as an actor, co-creator, director, dramaturge, movement teacher and producer. She is currently the Artistic Director of Presentation House Theatre and was previously the Artistic Director of the Norman Rothstein Theatre where she founded the Chutzpah! Festival.



Brenda also served as the Artistic Director of Tamahnous Theatre from 1993 to 1996 and has been nominated 3 times for Jessie Richardson awards for her work as a director and co-creator.


Recent directing credits at Presentation House Theatre include The Edward Curtis Project by Marie Clements, Where the River Meets the Sea by Patti Flather, Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, Mesa by Doug Curtis, Beaver by Claudia Dey, and Life Skills by David King. Over the course of her career, Brenda has been a co-creator on four new plays including Paper Wheat, Coming Apart, Raw Materials and Wet Dreams.
